This class encompasses all levels of practitioners. Modifications are given to beginners while more advanced versions of asanas (yoga postures) will be given to more advanced students. As all bodies are different and people have different weaknesses and strength, props such as straps, blankets, blocks and chairs are often used during classes.
These classes are based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. This type of yoga is renowned for its attention to body alignment. Basic Pranayama and meditation techniques are also introduced during class.
